The First Post

Dear All, we are gathered here to share Sorina's thoughts. Really, I designed this blog as a place to rant, vent, talk about things I am passionate about, share thoughts with you all, good and bad, hopefully mostly good. On Tuesday we start receiving veggies from the CSA Tim and I have a 1/2 share (we're splitting a full one with Tracy & Martin). So this is the place where I'll tell you every week what we got in our goodie bags from the farm and what I did with it. We also have our own garden, where, if things go as plan(t)ed, we should be getting a lot of tomatoes. Tim did all the work prepping the soil this spring, and let me tell you, this is backbreaking kinda' work. I was showing Tim the plants the other day, and it went like this (imagine rows of plantings): this is the dark greens section (kale, red chard), this is the summer squash, tomatoes, cayenne peppers, winter squash, tomatoes, green beans, pole beans, tomatoes, tomatoes, tomatoes, tomatoes, tomatoes, peppers, tomatoes, tomatoes. You get the idea. We also have some planters with herbs and - you guessed - more tomatoes. Anyway, you'll probably here/read more about the garden in this space. That's it for now.
